TSTC
MESSAGE
FROM YB DATO’ DR. ABDUL LATIFF BIN AWANG
CHAIRMAN
TSTC is the
realisation of a vision by the State Government of Terengganu to
create ‘ A State of The Art ‘ fully integrated Safety Training
Centre. A Centre that would have the capabilities to provide
training not only to the Offshore Oil and Gas Industry but also to
the Onshore Industrial
and Commercial Sectors throughout Malaysia and the South – East
Asian Region. I am especially privileged to be involved with a young
organization that not only has tremendous potential but
has the foresight and commitment
to achieve and surpass that potential.
The strength
of our operation lies in the Committed Management Team, a team of
experienced instructional and Training Administration staff.
Conveniently
situated between Kerteh and Kemaman, our extensive training
facilities are located on a 10 acre site which is adjacent to the
Terengganu Advanced Technical Institute (TATI).
Currently we have
trained over 60,000 participants representing the Major Oil &
Gas companies and their
contractors major Petro-chemical plants, and Industrial & Commercial clients throughout Malaysia.
We
conduct a full range of generic and company specific courses that
include Sea Survival, Scuba Courses, Helicopter Underwater Escape,
Basic Fire Fighting, Site Emergency Response Teams, Fire Leaders
/ On Scene Commanders, Safety Inductions, Occupational Safety and
Health, Emergency First Aid / CPR, Scaffolding, Rigging and
Slinging etc.
Our reputation for
providing Quality Training at a competitive rate has already spread
throughout Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, Thailand,
Vietnam, Philippines, Myanmar, China and Australia.
These countries are
encouraging their companies either to send their personnel to TSTC or
requesting us to conduct courses on site at their locations.
My vision for TSTC
is to take a leading role in establishing a “Malaysian
Smart Partnership Training Consortium” which combined specialist
resources and expertise to enhance and complement the training
capabilities of all the partner companies. This will enable us to
respond more effectively and efficiently to
the future Safety Training needs of South East Asia’s rapidly
developing and expending Industrial and Commercial Sectors.
In a few lines, I
have tried to express my personal pride in TSTC and our commitment
to the provision of Quality Safety Training here in Malaysia and
throughout the South East Region, in line with our Vision 2020.
1st. July
2004.
